Gemäß § 103 (6) UG 2002 haben die UniversitätsprofessorInnen des Fachbereiches und des fachlich nahe stehenden Bereichs das Recht, Stellungnahmen zu den Gutachten in Habilitationsverfahren abzugeben.

Stipendien, Programme, Preise

354. Norwegisches Staatsstipendium für das Studienjahr 2006-2007.

Purpose

The Norwegian Government, through the International Scholarship Section (IS) of the Research Council of Norway, offers each academic year a pool of scholarships for advanced students and young researchers. The government scholarships are designed to promote contact and mobility between Norwegian and foreign students and researchers and institutions of higher learning and research. The scholarships are open to all areas of academic studies and research, including applied and performing arts. The scholarships are valid at accredited universities, research institutes, colleges and other institutions at university level in Norway.

The scholarships are intended to finance a temporary stay of up to one academic year, and are not intended to complete an education/degree in Norway. Foreign citizens who have already been living and/or studying in Norway for a longer period, are therefore not given priority under the scheme. Foreign citizens who reside in Norway on a permanent basis are not eligible for a Norwegian Government Scholarship.

Requirements

Applicants are required to:

· Minimum hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent level)

· Maximum be 40 years old

· Describe in detail the purpose of the planned study/research stay in Norway

· Enclose a letter of invitation from/on behalf of a member of the scientific staff of a Norwegian host institution (Information about Norwegian institutions can be found at: www.rcn.no/is "Information in English" → "Useful links")

· Have a good working knowledge of English or Norwegian (Danish/Swedish)

· Focus the professional programme around one host institution.

Duration

Scholarships can be granted from one (1) to ten (10) months in the academic year. The autumn term runs from mid August to mid December and the spring term from mid January to mid June. Requests for an extension of the scholarship will be regarded as a new application and must be directed through the home country authorities by the next application deadline.

Application procedure

The national deadline is normally during the autumn of the previous year, i.e. the autumn 2005. A special application form must be used. The application form and all attachments must be filled in, or translated into, English or Norwegian (Danish/Swedish). The form can be obtained from national scholarship authorities, Norwegian Embassies, or from the IS directly. The nomination deadline to the IS by the home country authorities is 1 February 2006. The applications are assessed by the IS Programme Committee. Normally approximately 100 scholarships are awarded. The outcome of evaluation will be announced to the candidates not later than May 2006.

Kooperationen

355. Allgemeine Informationen zu Einzelpartnerschaften der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien.

Die Wiener Musikuniversität kooperiert weltweit mit 17 Einrichtungen, wobei die Schwerpunkte der Zusammenarbeit variieren. Grundsätzlich können mit allen diesen Einrichtungen gemeinsame Projekte durchgeführt werden.

Auch Austauschstudien können absolviert werden. Prinzipiell ist der Erlass der Studiengebühren (außer in Sofia) vorgesehen. Je nach Möglichkeit wird auch die offizielle Aufnahmsprüfung erlassen. Mehr dazu im Infoblatt „Einzelpartnerschaften der Universität für Musik und darstellenden Kunst Wien – Mobilität“ (im Büro für internationale Beziehungen).

Internationale Organisation - Prinzip der Gegenseitigkeit oder einzelne Aushandlung der Projekte

Die finanzielle und organisatorische Durchführung der Austauschprojekte basiert meist auf dem Prinzip der Gegenseitigkeit, wobei in der Regel das entsendende Institut die Fahrtspesen, die jeweils andere Universität die Aufenthaltskosten trägt. Oft unterliegt die organisatorisch-finanzielle Projektabwicklung jedoch auch nur einer ad hoc Absprache der jeweiligen Projektleiter (je nach Vertrag, vor allem aber in China und Taiwan)!

Universitätsinterne Organisation

Damit die Institute eine bessere Übersicht und Autonomie über ihre Projekte wahren können, werden alle Partnerschaftsprojekte im Budgetantrag des Instituts ab dem Jahr 2006 entsprechend berücksichtigt. Das bedeutet, dass ab dem Jahr 2006 insbesondere die Reisekosten für alle Partnerschaftsprojekte vom betroffenen Institut selbst übernommen werden (Rektoratsbeschluss vom April 2005).

Bezüglich Arbeitsabwicklung übernimmt das Außeninstitut jene Projekte, die von gesamtuniversitärem Interesse sind, d.h. große institutsübergreifende internationale Projekte, Studierendenmobilität der Institute sowie gewünschte Projektinitiierungen der Institute. Um eine optimale, institutsnahe Abwicklung zu gewährleisten, werden detaillierte Projektabwicklungen vom jeweiligen Institutssekretariat veranlasst. Bei Fragen unterstützt das Büro für Internationale Beziehungen selbstverständlich gerne. Damit es gezielt und rasch auf Ihr Anliegen eingehen kann, werden die Partnerschaftsprojekte dem Büro für Internationale Beziehungen schon in der Planungsphase mitgeteilt.

Projektförderungen

Bei internationalen Projekten sind Förderungszuschüsse möglich. Meistens muss das Projekt mind. 1 Jahr im voraus eingereicht werden und es müssen meist mind. 2 - 3 Partnereinrichtungen in verschiedenen Ländern gegeben sein.

Das Büro für internationale Beziehungen stellt Ihnen Infoblätter zu den wichtigsten Förderungen und eine Projektcheckliste (für ein Informationsgespräch) zur Verfügung. Weitere Quellen für Förderungen finden Sie in diversen Datenbanken¹.

Partnership Agreement

between

Central Conservatory of Music Beijing

and

University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna

The Central Conservatory of Music Beijing and University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna recognise the strength of deep collaboration and academic reciprocity. For this reason both sides propose an agreement as follows:

I. General principles of cooperation:

Both institutions propose to collaborate artistically, pedagogically and in terms of research and practice-based study, to foster mutuality and understanding of each other’s professional experience and each other’s traditions and distinctiveness. Additionially, the agreement seeks to provide reciprocated assistance in new developments in artistic and pedagogical fields, research and practice-based study.

II. Types of cooperation:

Academic cooperation will be realized as follows:

1. Through exchange–events (concerts, music theatre, academic exercises, rehearsals, workshops, etc.) of the partner institution’s students under supervision or direction of its representative staff (rector, or director of the institution, dean, departmental head, professors etc.).

2. Through direct contacts between appropriate departments, institutes and classes of the partner institutions with the objective of common artistic, pedagogical and research projects and events.

3. Through professors´ contributions to the educational processes and study programmes of the partner institutions (master classes, workshops, lectures, attendance in symposia/sessions, conferences, board of examiners, competition juries) as well as through invoking any other possibilities and forms of mutual exchange of experience.

4. Through attendance of students in the partner institution’s programmes, courses, competitions etc. (during the study year or within the scope of summer/holiday classes).

5. Through mutual promotion of each institution’s students and of students exchange.

In practice both institutions may develop, supplement and specify the above-mentioned forms of cooperation. The selection of participants in exchange events and in common projects is incumbent on the sending institution. However, the selection has to be effected in accord with the partner receiving institution. The receiving institution will reserve the right to make final judgements on the admissibility of each student nominated by the sending institution.

III. Conditions of cooperation:

1. All projects and common events that arise within this partnership agreement are to be carried out within the framework of the study and organisation laws of both institutions.

2. All projects´ and common events´ financial modi operandi that arise within this agreement will be negociated apart and stated in a separate writing.

3. The partner institutions agree to waive charges for tuition on a reciprocal basis to students who participate in a one or two semester exchange according to the partnership agreement.

IV. Legal terms:

Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna recognise the strength of deep collaboration and academic reciprocity. For this reason both sides propose an agreement as follows:

I. General principles of cooperation:

Both institutions propose to collaborate artistically, pedagogically and in terms of research and practice-based study, to foster mutuality and understanding of each other’s professional experience and each other’s traditions and distinctiveness. Additionally, the agreement seeks to provide reciprocated assistance in new developments in artistic and pedagogical fields, research and practice-based study.

II. Types of cooperation:

Academic cooperation will be realized as follows:

2. Through direct contacts between appropriate departments, institutes and classes of the partner institutions with the objective of common artistic, pedagogical and research projects and events.

3. Through professors´ contributions to the educational processes and study programmes of the partner institution (master classes, workshops, lectures, attendance in symposia/sessions, conferences, board of examiners, competition juries) as well as through invoking any other possibilities and forms of mutual exchange of experience.

4. Through attendance of students in the partner institution’s programmes, courses, competitions etc. (during the study year or within the scope of summer/holiday classes).

5. Through mutual promotion of each institution’s students and of student exchange.

In practice both institutions may develop, supplement and specify the above-mentioned forms of cooperation. The selection of participants in exchange events and in common projects is incumbent on the sending institution. However, selection has to be effected in accordance with the partner receiving institution. The receiving institution will reserve the right to make final judgements on the admissibility of each student nominated by the sending institution.

III. Conditions of cooperation:

1. All projects and common events which arise within this partnership agreement are to be carried out within the framework of the study and organisation procedures of both institutions.

2. All projects´ and common events´ financial modus operandi that arise within this agreement will be negotiated apart and stated separately.

The two universities hereby agree as folIows:

1. The University of Miami of Coral Gables, Florida, United States of America (hereinafter referred to as UM), and the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Austria, (hereinafter referred to as UPA-V) agree to establish an exchange program of undergraduate students nominated by their respective institutions to carry out studies as provided in this Agreement.

2. As the basis of relations between UM and UPA-V, both parties agree to waive charges for tuition on a reciprocal basis to exchange students each year.

3. UM agrees to provide to the participants from UW the following services at no cost unless otherwise provided herein:

(a) The International Education and Exchange Programs, along with individual departments, will offer academic counseling.

(b) The International Education and Exchange Programs will reserve housing (single rooms, if possible) for the participants from UPA-V who apply to live on-campus. The cost of UM housing will be paid by the UM participant going to Vienna; the UPA-V participant will pay housing costs at UPA-V and will not be charged at UM.

4. UPA-V agrees to provide the participants of UM the following services at no cost unless otherwise provided herein:

(a) Academic counseling.

(b) UPA-V will reserve accommodation (single rooms, if possible) for the participants of UM while they are at the university. The cost of UPA-V housing will be paid by the UPA-V participant going to Miami; the UM participant will pay housing costs at UM and will not be charged at UPA-V.

5. Each institution will provide a 24-hour telephone contact number for emergencies that may occur. This emergency phone number is for the respective offices only and will not be given to students without authorization of the international office of each university.

6. Each institution will assist its participants in obtaining the appropriate visa for the period of exchange. Notwithstanding the foregoing, each participant shall be ultimately responsible for obtaining his/her visa, passport or other necessary documents and paying for the same, and the institutions shall not be liable to each other or to any participant for the failure of the participant to obtain the same.

7. For UM, the program of exchange will be coordinated by the International Education and Exchange Programs office through the Division of Continuing Studies, with the contact being the Associate Dean and Director. For UPA-V, the program of exchange will be coordinated by UPA-V International Office, with the contact being the Director.

8. The number of participants in the exchange will be limited to two per year. The duration of the period of study will be for a maximum of two academic semesters. Exchange students cannot be degree-seeking students at the host institution.

9. Applicants from both institutions will fill out applications from the host institution. Students will be nominated by their host institutions with final acceptance made by the host university. The host institution has the right to accept or reject any nominated student, and the host institution shall not be liable for damages to the host institution as a result of the host institution's refusal to accept any nominated student. UM and UPA-V agree not to discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sex, or national origin in the decision of whether to accept a nominated student.

10. Each participant in the exchange will enjoy the same rights and privileges as students of the host institution, and will be expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the host university.

11. UPA-V participants will be considered as regular students at UM with grades determined by departments in accordance with prevailing standards. UM participants will be considered as regular students at UPA-V with grades determined by departments in accordance with UPA-V standards. The UPA-V Director for International Affairs will transmit grades earned at UPA-V by exchange students to the UM Associate Dean and Director without delay and vice versa. All academic records will be kept confidential with access open only to the student and the appropriate offices at the two universities.

12. Exchange students will be responsible for all of their expenses inc1uding living expenses (other than room rentals), personal expenses, transportation costs, mandatory fees (other than tuition) and book purchases during their stay at the other institution.

13.&n bsp;UPA-V and UM exchange students will be eligible to utilize the health facilities of the host institution. UPA-V and UM participants will be required to have medical insurance, of a type and in amount acceptable to the host institution, the cost of which will be paid by the participant.

14. UPA-V students must provide documentation of measles and rubella immunization or lab evidence of immunity and must have received a tuberculosis screening within the last 12 months prior to arrival in the U.S. UPA-V students will be provided with the UM Immunization Record form which must be submitted to the UM Student Health Center prior to registration for classes at UM.

15. This agreement will be in force from whichever date is the later on which it is signed on behalf of each university and will be effective for a duration of five years from that date.

16. This agreement may be extended if both parties agree in writing prior to the termination date. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by giving six months' notice in writing to the other party. Any modifications concerning the present agreement may be made only by mutual consent in writing between authorized representatives of the parties. Regardless of termination, the parties shall continue to fulfill their obligations hereunder until all participants who have commenced the program may complete the term in session at the time of termination or the work which is in progress at the time of termination.

The two institutions hereby agree as follows:

PURPOSE AND DEFINITIONS

1. The purpose of this agreement is to make possible and to institute the exchange of undergraduate and/or postgraduate students between the two music schools at mutually convenient times. These exchanges will, in the main, be for periods of one academic year or one semester. This exchange agreement will establish a framework in which faculty exchanges of mutual interest may be considered at a future time.

In this agreement, unless the context otherwise implies, home institution shall mean the institution at which the students intend to graduate; host institution shall mean the institution which has agreed to receive the exchange student(s) from the home institution. For the purposes of this document, Universität shall mean the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, and Eastman School shall mean the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester.

NUMBERS/RECIPROCITY

2. The Universität and the Eastman School will seek to exchange students on a reciprocal basis, annually. During a pilot period of two years, the maximum number of students for exchange is two (2). In the event of either side being unable to identify a student for exchange within a reasonable time (March 3: deadline of application; June 30: decision on admissibility and appropriate teacher) it is agreed that:

a: no exchange will be attempted, or

b: discussions may take place with regard to the possibility of staggered exchange if there are good reasons to encourage this. (In this context, “staggered” signifies an exchange, which will not take place concurrently.)

c: special arrangements may come into force if it is deemed practical.

SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS

3. The home institution will screen applicants for the exchange. Each institution will send the other official application forms for the students nominated. If the maximum number of 2 exchange applicants is exceeded, the sending institution will provide a list with its favored candidates (most preferred listed on top), at which point the host institution may choose the most suitable students. The host institution will reserve the right to make final judgments on the admissibility of each student nominated via a submitted musical recording or, where necessary, as the result of a special live audition for institution’s internal use. Either institution reserves the right to allocate students to a professor’s class of the institution’s choice. However, both institutions will look sympathetically upon any requests for a particular teacher. The following guidelines apply to all exchange students:

a: The students may apply to participate as exchange students in an undergraduate or postgraduate program offered at the host university. Academic credits earned at the host institution may normally be transferred back to the home institution although the details of the course content affecting the student should be agreed between the two institutions from the outset.

b: The exchange student must have completed at least one year of continuous study at the home institution before the exchange year.

c: Upon completion of the one year, or one semester, study tour at the host institution, the participating students should return to the home institution. Generally, the maximum time spent on an exchange is one academic year; any extension of the exchange period must be approved by both co-operating institutions.

d: The exchange students must abide by all the rules and regulations of the host institutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF EASTMAN SCHOOL

4. The Eastman School will agree to accept the prescribed number of student(s), to enroll them as full-time visiting students for one or both of the two semesters of the academic year, and to provide them with the tuition fee waivers, once the student has been accepted. However, students will be required to pay the mandatory Student Activity Fees, Health Fees, and Comprehensive fees. The Eastman School will provide the appropriate advising and other assistance (such as help with visas) to the Universität students. Eastman School will facilitate housing for the exchange students in the Student Living Center when possible, or (upon request) will provide information to secure housing in local dormitories, apartments or private homes. Housing applications must be provided at least two months before the commencement of the semester. At the end of the academic year, or semester, Eastman School will send the Universität an official transcript of the credits earned by each Universität student. The Eastman School will inform the Universität in good time of any legal documentation that needs to be processed.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF the Universität

5. The Universität will enroll the agreed number of student(s) on a full-time exchange basis for one or both of the Autumn and Spring semester of the academic year and provide them with tuition fee waivers, once the student has been accepted. However, students will be required to meet necessary Student Union/Comprehensive and Health Fees. The Universität will assist in finding housing for the student(s) in dormitories, apartments or private homes. The Universität will provide the appropriate counseling and other assistance to the student(s), and at the end of the academic program will provide official transcripts of credits.

FINANCE AND SERVICES

6. All exchange students must register and pay other required fees at the home institution. Each host institution will provide tuition fee waivers for the exchange students. Participating students will be responsible for the following:

a. Room and board expenses.

b. Transportation to and from the host institution.

c. Medical insurance and/or medical expenses.

d. Textbooks, clothing and personal expenses.

e. Passport, visa and immigration costs.

f. All other debts incurred during the course of the year.

RENEWAL, TERMINATION AND AMENDMENT

7. This agreement shall remain in force for a period of three years, provided that reciprocal arrangements may always be made in writing. The agreement may be terminated by either party in writing no later than the end of March in any year. The Agreement may be extended by mutual consent of the two parties.

Die Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien - in der Folge Musikuniversität Wien genannt - und die Tokushima Bunri Universität - in der Folge Tokushima Bunri genannt - treffen im Bemühen um die gemeinsame Förderung von Informationsaustausch und Zusammenarbeit im künstlerischen, pädagogischen und wissenschaftlichen Bereich sowie im Interesse eines tieferen gegenseitigen Verständnisses für die jeweilige Tradition und Kultur nachfolgende Vereinbarungen über eine Partnerschaft.

ZIEL DER PARTNERSCHAFT

Förderung der musikalischen Ausbildung im weitesten Sinne an beiden Universitäten durch die Partnerschaft zweier Institutionen, die verschiedene Grundlagen haben: die Musikuniversität Wien tradiert das Wesentliche der Klassischen Musik in der Heimat großer Musiker für die neue Generation; Tokushima Bunri erstrebt bei der Ausbildung die Verschmelzung der traditionellen japanischen Kultur mit der modernen Zivilisation.

Zwei Schwerpunkte verbinden die Intentionen beider Universitäten: einerseits die Forschung und die Weitergabe der Forschungsergebnisse an die nächste Generation in den Fachrichtungen Kultur, Geschichte und Theorie im Bereich der Musik, andererseits die Ausübung der Musik als Kunst und ihre Vermittlung an die Jugend. In beiden Schwerpunkten kann diese Kooperation eine Vertiefung des geistigen und kulturellen Verständnisses zwischen Japan und Österreich bewirken.

INHALT DES VERTRAGS

§ 1 AUSTAUSCH VON STUDIERENDEN

a) Tokushima Bunri bietet einer jeweils von der Musikuniversität Wien vorgeschlagenen und gemeinsam zwischen beiden Universitäten abgesprochenen Zahl von Studierenden finanzielle Unterstützung für einen Konzertauftritt oder für eine Forschungsarbeit in Tokushima und nimmt auch interessierte Studierende aus Wien gebührenfrei als Studierende auf. Details über die Häufigkeit der Durchführung und das Ausmaß der finanziellen Unterstützung werden jeweils zwischen den beiden Universitäten besprochen.

b) Die Musikuniversität Wien bietet für ausgewählte Studierende von Tokushima Bunri die Gelegenheit für einen Konzertauftritt oder für eine Forschungsarbeit in Wien und nimmt interessierte, von Tokushima Bunri vorgeschlagene Studenten gebührenfrei als ordentliche Studierende auf. Die definitive Entscheidung über die Zulassung obliegt der Musikuniversität Wien. Details über die Dauer der Aufnahme sind jedesmal zwischen den beiden Universitäten abzusprechen.

§ 2 AUSTAUSCH VON LEHRENDEN

a) Tokushima Bunri bietet Professoren, Künstlern und Wissenschaftern der Musikuniversität Wien die Gelegenheit zur Abhaltung von oder die Teilnahme an Gastkursen, Workshops, Seminaren, Vorträgen und Forschung sprojekten in Tokushima. Die Details der Durchführung und Finanzierung sind jedesmal zwischen den Universitäten zu besprechen.

b) Die Musikuniversität Wien bietet Professoren, Künstlern und Wissenschaftern von Tokushima Bunri die Gelegenheit zur Abhaltung von oder Teilnahme an Gastkursen, Workshops, Seminaren, Vorträgen und Forschungsprojekten in Wien. Die Details der Durchführung und Finanzierung sind jedesmal zwischen den Universitäten abzusprechen.

§ 3 SPEZIELLE KOOPERATIONSVORSCHLÄGE VON TOKUSHIMA BUNRI

a) Tokushima Bunri veranstaltet gemeinsam mit der Musikuniversität Wien alljährlich im Winter in Tokushima ein Kooperations-Seminar unter Leitung von Wiener Professoren für ausgewählte japanische Studierende, die Interesse an einem ordentlichen oder postgraduate Studium an der Musikuniversität Wien haben.

b) Tokushima Bunri veranstaltet gemeinsam mit der Musikuniversität Wien alljährlich im Sommer in Tokushima ein weiteres Kooperations-Seminar unter Leitung von Wiener Professoren für ausgewählte japanische Studierende, die Interesse an einer Teilnahme an der internationalen Sommerakademie Prag-Wien-Budapest haben. Für die drei besten Teilnehmer dieses Seminars stiftet Tokushima Bunri Vollstipendien zur Teilnahme an der Sommerakademie des jeweiligen Jahres.

Die Finanzierung beider Kooperations-Seminare in Tokushima (Reise, Honorar, Aufenthalt der Wiener Professoren) übernimmt Tokushima Bunri. Die Details der organisatorischen Durchführung werden zwischen beiden Universitäten abgesprochen. Für das der Sommerakademie Prag-Wien-Budapest gewidmete Kooperationsseminar sind Prof. Michael Frischenschlager und Prof. Masamichi Unno die verantwortlichen Kontaktpersonen.

§ 4 Die angeführten Kooperationen können in der Folge erweitert werden. Die Auswahl der Teilnehmer an allen Kooperationen wird stets von den Partneruniversitäten getroffen und besprochen.

§ 5 Alle gemeinsamen Kooperations- und Austauschaktivitäten vollziehen sich im Rahmen der Studienvorschriften beider Partneruniversitäten.

§ 6 Die Finanzierung der Kooperation erfolgt – wo nicht spezifisch für ein Projekt extra vereinbart – nach dem Prinzip der Gegenseitigkeit. In der Regel trägt die entsendende Universität die Reisespesen, während die gastgebende Universität die Aufenthaltskosten und – bei zeitweiliger Lehrtätigkeit – das Honorar für die Professoren übernimmt.

§ 7 Der Partnerschaftsvertrag ist unbefristet. Er kann in Absprache oder auf Wunsch einer der beiden Universitäten unter Einhaltung einer dreimonatigen Kündigungsfrist aufgelöst werden.

§ 8 Die Projekte der Kooperation werden in der Regel mindestens ein halbes Jahr im voraus durch Absprache zwischen den beiden Universitäten geplant und vereinbart.

§ 9 Dieser Partnerschaftsvertrag wird in deutscher und japanischer Sprache abgefasst. Der Text beider Fassungen ist identisch und hat die gleiche Gültigkeit.

§10 Der Vertrag tritt am Tage der beiderseitigen Unterzeichnung in Kraft.

The signatory representatives of the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien and the Osaka University of Arts agree to conclude this agreement.

In an effort to strengthen international understanding as well as the cultural relationship between Austria and Japan, the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, the Osaka University of Arts, the Osaka University of Arts Junior College as well as the Osaka College of Art do hereby declare themselves Sister Institutions of Arts and henceforth to engage in mutually agreeable exchange programs.

I. The exchange of students

An appropriate number of students from either university - however, per semester principally not more than two - can be accepted as guest students by the respective partner institution.

- In such case the students will be exempt from the tuition fees.

They will be assisted by the relevant department in their search for appropriate accommodation.

- Basic knowledge of the language of the respective guest country is expected for the theoretical subjects; however, it is not obligatory for the practical subjects.

- Eventually arising inequalities in this exchange program should be compensated for by appropriate measures in projects II and/or III.

II.The exchange of professors

Professors from either university can upon their wish be sent to the respective partner institution as well. The relevant conditions will be laid down in a separate contract from case to case.

III. The exchange of lectures

Special courses, masters courses, seminars, lectures, series of lectures or the like can take place either in Osaka and/or in Vienna in order to deepen and promote the knowledge of the culture, music and fine arts of the respective partner country.

Concrete projects are drawn up by the relevant departments of both universities on mutual agreement.
